Gareth Thomas: Film Work

1960s

Gareth won his first film role shortly after graduating from RADA, in the 1967 cult classic Quatermass and the Pit (directed by Roy Baker). It was a small speaking part; he plays the workman who breaks through the wall of the London Underground tunnel at the beginning of the film.

A copy of his (clearly used on set) Call Sheet exists. Gareth was in for one day, the 38th day of the shoot. His was the 3rd scene shot on this particular day, 21st April 1967 (the scene number itself is Scene 2). He had a dressing room to himself (B 107), was called to Makeup at 10:00am, and to set for 11:00am.
