Spotlight is the main Casting Directory in the U.K. It is the resource that Casting Agents, Producers, Directors, and others in the screen industries still use to find actors for their projects. It was first published in 1927, but these days is entirely digital (www.spotlight.com) and now includes actors’ Curricula Vitae as well as their photographs and agents’ names. For decades it came out in print in a set of multiple volumes (male/female/children, with often 2 alphabetical volumes in the former two categories) at least once a year, and every few years actors’ photos would be updated.
